freedom walk

As our children grow and mature so do their demands for more freedom … … more space and more individuality. But what to do parents when we live in a world full of predators?
When my son was seven years, often asked, "Mama never going to leave me go to school alone? "My answer was always:" No, not safe ". But occasionally, had worn enough to second guess me," after all, the children of his age were walking to school with their friends all the time!
But as soon as I consider giving the go-ahead (thinking he could walk a block or so behind him and he never knows) was to receive a note from school saying that there was no abduction of a child close and that we must closely monitor our children until the police catch the predator (s).
Then my son hit fifth grade, and asked again. "We are only three blocks from the school mom mm. What could happen? Please let me walk home with my friends! "There was a point, and he was 12. But the idea of the way home I was scared. Then I got a solution.
"You can walk home while you take the walkie talkie with you. You must activate as soon as they leave school. They call me and let me know you are in your house so do not worry. And if you're not home in 20 minutes, I'm coming after you. "
He did not like. In fact, he was a little embarrassed. But so great was the walkie talkie, or you will not be alone! After a while, he and his friends not give a second thought walkie talkie. In fact, it became "cool" and he began taking the park two blocks away when he wanted to play basketball with boys.
But I always worried. What if someone kidnapped him? Walkie talkie would not be enough. What if you could not get to him fast enough when asked for help?
Now my daughter is 12 years and is asking for a little freedom. She wants to walk two blocks to neighborhood pool, where lifeguards are always present, and hang out with friends. A walkie talkie goes with it although I can be outside my door and seeing her walk around the way to the pool.
Just call comfort tool mom.
But I always wondered if he could add a bit more protection when children are out of sight, like when you're attending school trips, church events, or visit a park amusement. So today, I found something really clean and I can honestly say that my mind is a little more comfortable.
Nothing, and I do mean nothing-works best to teach our children how to stay safe, how to spot a kidnapper, note how to avoid dangerous situations and strangers, and how to attack if necessary, but this little gadget sure makes me a little more peace of mind.
It's called the AmberWatch ®. It seems a common, every day you see that reflect in the passage of a $ 10 Wal-Mart ® so it fits perfectly with our current trends, but here is where it is different …
The AmberWatch ® has two buttons that when pushed simultaneously activates a personal alarm that can be heard, are you ready for this, three football fields away! And in If an attempt to break the predator out to see the child a sensor cable and the alarm is activated are activated instantly!
Who should have a AmberWatch ®?
Each school children. All children locked. Each child who likes to get away from the mother (Once my daughter hid in the car in the model floor inside the car dealership while we were negotiating the price-talk About afraid!). And every teenager who insists that she (or he) is old enough to go on a date or to the movies with his friends at night!

UPDATE
The watch was not as "strong" as I would have liked to have been. And my daughter soon found the bulkiness of it annoying. However, for young children, added a little peace of mind when playing outdoors – say in the yard or park.
